HELP - TREE - ANCESTOR CHART
The default "Ancestor" chart will display the current Primary Person's vertical pedigree chart.
OPTIONS:
1. GENERATIONS = Choose how many generations back you want to go:
- 3 = Great-Grandparents.
- 4 = 2x Great Grandparents.
- 5 = 3x Great Grandparents.
2. WHAT LINE = Choose what line(s) you want to show on the chart:
- All = Shows both Paternal & Maternal ancestors.
- Paternal = Just shows the Paternal ancestors.
- Maternal = Just shows the Maternal ancestors.
3. PHOTOS & FLAGS? = Choose if you want the chart to display profile photos and birth country flags.
- Yes = Will show profile photos and birth country flags.
- No = Won't display profile photos and birth country flags.
4. CREATE = Click this once you have the options set to create the chart.
*You can always manually delete and add images to the chart after creating.
HOW TO READ:
The chart will display the Primary Person at the bottom and then vertically display each generation.
In order to fit everything onto (1) page some generations have to be stacked on top of each other with the father being on top.
In this example the 3x great-grandparent couple (A) is the parents of (C) and the 3x great-grandparent couple (B) is the parents of (D).
(C) and (D) are the parents of (E).
This dynamic is the same for all (8) lines across the chart. Using unique colors in the design will make it easy to trace generations up and down.
Non-biological parents will display an " * " after the parent's name.
