HELP - TREE - RELATION CHART

The "Relation" chart will display how the current Primary Person's is related to the other selected person. The chart will display their common ancestor.

 

LIMITATIONS:

1. The relationship must be within 7 generations up or down.
2. Can't compare spouses to other spouses (i.e. Your spouse to a siblings spouse).
3. All relationships will be considered to be biological.
4. Won't work if either person's sex is unknown.
5. The common ancestor displayed will always be the male if applicable (i.e. Father)

 

OPTIONS:

1. RELATION (A) = Click this to open a new form to select the person to calculate a relationship to:

2. CHOOSE A PERSON

• Type in a name (B) or ID (C) to filter the list of people (D).
• Double click on the desired person OR press enter after highlighting the desired person in the list (D).
  

*Use the TAB and ENTER keys to navigate these fields quickly.

 

HOW TO READ:

The chart will display the common ancestor at the top and then show each applicable ancestor until the selected person's are reached. 

The relation to the Primary Person will be displayed below each person's box (A).

The right side of the chart (B) will show how each generation is related for easy reference of all ancestors displayed.
