HELP - EXTRACT - FOLDER ICON
*This change is optional and is purely for cosmetic purposes.
Windows default icon for a directory is a manila folder. However you can customize this to anything you like via the use of icon files.
The program comes with a custom icon file called "FTE EXTRACT ICON.ico". This file is saved in the "BACKUP" sub folder in the DIRECTORY.
You can use this to customize the directory icon so it stands out and is more cosmetically appealing.
*Only do this after the installation process on the unzipped directory.
ICON CHANGE INSTRUCTIONS (WINDOWS):
1. Right click on the directory - then select "Properties" (A).
2. Select the "Customize" tab at the top (B).
3. Select the "Change Icon..." option (C).
4. Choose the "Browse..." option (D).
5. Navigate to the "BACKUP" subfolder and select the "FTE EXTRACT ICON.ico" file (E).
6. Select the Icon then choose "OK" (F).
7. Choose "Apply" (G).
8. Then Press "OK" (H).
*You may need to refresh or restart for the change to take place.
ICON CHANGE INSTRUCTIONS (MAC):
1. Navigate to the "BACKUP" subfolder and click on the "FTE EXTRACT ICON.ico" file to highlight it (don't open it).
2. Copy the "FTE EXTRACT ICON.ico" file by selecting the "EDIT" menu at the top and then select "COPY" (COMMAND + C = Keyboard shortcut).
3. Navigate back to and then click on and select the main Extract directory folder to highlight it (don't open it).
4. On the top menu click on "FILE" then "GET INFO" (COMMAND + I = Keyboard shortcut).
5. Click on the small default folder icon at the top of the window to highlight it.
6. Paste the icon image by clicking on the "EDIT" menu at the top and select "PASTE" (COMMAND + V = Keyboard shortcut).
